한면 또는 양면에 도안이나 무늬가 있는 유리로서 철사망이 끼여 있을 수도 있으며 식각법이나 모래분사등으로 처리되기도 하고 광택이 나기도 한다. 파상무늬유리는 무늬가 있다 해도 무늬형 유리라고 하지 않는다.

Glass having a figure or pattern on one or both surfaces. It may have an imbedded wire mesh and may be processed (etched, sandblasted, and the like), polished, and the like, on one or both surfaces or any combination thereof. Ribbed glass is considered to be figured glass. Corrugated glass, even if patterned, shall not be considered figured glass.
